The BIXOLON XD5-40t is a mid-level 4″ (118 mm) thermal transfer desktop label printer built for robust barcode and label printing in transport & logistics, manufacturing, retail, and healthcare environments. Featuring a rugged, compact clamshell design and advanced firmware, the XD5-40t delivers reliable, high-quality output up to 6 ips (152 mm/sec) with a 203 dpi resolution for crisp text, barcodes, and graphics. With Smart Media Detection™, the printer automatically recognizes Gap, Black Mark, Continuous, or Notch media formats to simplify setup and reduce errors. The XD5-40t supports both direct thermal and thermal transfer printing modes, accommodates standard ribbon core sizes (½″ and 1″), and includes optional accessories like a Peeler and Auto Cutter for enhanced workflow efficiency. Standard USB 2.0 + USB Host interfaces ensure easy connectivity, while optional Dual-WLAN, Dual-Bluetooth, Serial, and Ethernet expand integration options across diverse systems. Twin Function™ enables cloning of printer settings across devices, and compatibility with label design tools such as BIXOLON’s Label Artist™ and BarTender® streamlines label creation.
