The Huawei eKitEngine AP162E is an ultra-thin WiFi 6 (802.11ax) wall-plate access point designed for indoor wireless coverage in hotels, offices, commercial spaces and other small and medium-sized environments. It operates simultaneously on the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, using 2×2 MIMO on each band to deliver a combined device rate of up to 2.975Gbps.

Designed around the standard 86 × 86mm wall-plate format, the AP162E has a compact 42.5mm depth and supports installation in an 86mm junction box. Its built-in smart antennas dynamically optimize coverage and help suppress interference.

The AP162E features two Gigabit Ethernet ports, with PoE input through IEEE 802.3af, allowing convenient single-cable installation. One additional Ethernet port can provide wired connectivity to a device at the same wall outlet.
