Nintendo Switch 2 System
The Nintendo Switch 2 represents the next-generation evolution of Nintendo’s popular hybrid console line. Launching globally on June 5, 2025 .Switch 2 keeps the core appeal of the original — play at home on the TV, on a tabletop, or on the go — but with major upgrades. It features a larger 7.9-inch LCD touchscreen with HDR and support for up to 120 Hz refresh rates for smoother visuals in handheld and tabletop mode. Under the hood, Switch 2 runs on a custom high-performance chip from Nvidia, delivering significantly more graphical and processing power than the original Switch. The system includes 256 GB internal storage (expandable via microSD Express) — a substantial upgrade to accommodate modern games.New Joy-Con 2 controllers attach magnetically, and can even function as a mouse in compatible games — offering more versatile controls. For TV play, the included dock supports 4K output (via HDMI), and docked games can run up to 1440p at 120 fps or 4K 60 fps, depending on the game. Switch 2 also supports most games released for its predecessor — albeit with possible compatibility caveats depending on the game.In addition to improved hardware, Switch 2 introduces new social features: GameChat, which allows players to voice- or video-chat, screen-share, and play together online — even across different games. Overall, Nintendo Switch 2 delivers a versatile, powerful, and modern hybrid gaming experience — perfect whether you’re on the move, playing on TV, or hanging out with friends online.
