TP-Link Tapo T100 – Smart Motion Sensor for Home Security & Automation
The TP-Link Tapo T100 is a compact smart motion sensor designed to enhance home security and automate compatible smart-home devices. It detects movement from up to 7 metres away across a 120° field of view, allowing it to monitor rooms, hallways, entrances, and other areas effectively.
The sensor provides three adjustable sensitivity levels, allowing users to configure the detection range to approximately 3m, 5m, or 7m and reduce unwanted triggers. Its detection interval can also be customised from 4 to 60 seconds.
When motion is detected, the Tapo T100 can send notifications through the Tapo app and trigger alarms through a compatible Tapo Hub. It can also be configured to activate other Tapo devices, such as smart bulbs, cameras, and plugs, creating automated smart-home scenes.
The Tapo T100 is battery-powered, requires no wiring, and can be installed using its built-in magnet, included adhesive, or as a freestanding device. The current Tapo T100 V1.20 is rated for up to two years of battery life, depending on usage conditions.
