The Hikvision DS-KIS608-P is a sleek, IP-based video intercom kit designed for villa or residential access control. It includes a 2 MP (1080p) outdoor camera and a 7″ capacitive touch indoor monitor, offering smooth video, intuitive touchscreen operation, and remote access via the Hik-Connect app.

The door station supports both Ethernet (10/100 Mbps) and 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, giving flexibility for wired or wireless installations. It’s rugged too: IP65 rated for outdoor durability.

Video is optimized for clarity, with support for H.264, H.265, and MJPEG, plus a True WDR feature to handle difficult lighting. Nighttime view is enhanced with IR LED illumination (up to ~2.5 m). The camera’s field of view is 129° horizontal / 75° vertical, giving a broad perspective.

Audio ensures clear, two-way communication with a built-in omnidirectional mic and speaker. Noise suppression and echo cancellation help maintain voice clarity even in noisy environments.

For access control, the door station has a relay output (30 V DC, 2 A) compatible with electric locks. It also includes 4 alarm inputs, a door contact input, and tamper detection.

On the indoor side, the 7″ monitor runs Embedded Linux with 128 MB RAM and 32 MB Flash.  The screen resolution is 1024 × 600, and the capacitive touch interface is user-friendly.

Networking on the indoor station supports wired RJ-45 and Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n), plus protocols like TCP/IP, SIP, and RTSP, giving robust connectivity. For storage, there’s a TF (microSD) card slot supporting up to 128 GB for logs, snapshots, or video.

Power options are flexible: both outdoor and indoor units support PoE (IEEE 802.3af) or 12 V DC. The door station is low power (< 10 W), and the monitor consumes ≤ 5 W.

The operating environment is wide:

• Door Station: –40°C to +53°C, 10–95% humidity.

• Indoor Monitor: –10°C to +50°C, 10–90% humidity.
